Story
Though we are both Portuguese, our paths to Casa Dos Velhos began in very different places. One of us was born and raised in South Africa, the other in the heart of Lisbon. It was in London, a city full of energy and diversity, that our worlds came together—united by a shared passion for travel, food, and discovering new cultures.

Among all the places we've explored, Madeira captured our hearts like no other. Its breathtaking landscapes, vibrant traditions, and warm hospitality left a lasting impression on us. It felt like home.
That's why we decided to create Casa Dos Velhos—a space where our personal travel experiences and love for culture and comfort come together. Our hope is that every guest who stays here can experience the magic of Madeira just as we did: slowly, deeply, and with all the senses.
